Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 sticks oleo
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 package yeast
  • 4 cups self-rising flour
  • 2 cups hot tap water
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Mix yeast and hot water until the yeast dissolves.
  2. Add the slightly beaten egg to the yeast mixture.
  3. Add soft oleo (butter), then stir in sugar and self-rising flour.
  4. Seal in a container and refrigerate for about 2 hours.
  5. Preheat oven and spray muffin pan with cooking spray.
  6. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of dough for each roll into the muffin cups.
  7. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown.
