Congo Bars For Large Crowd

Ingredients

  • 4 c. flour, sifted
  • 4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3 sticks butter
  • 3 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 pkg. chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350°.
  2. Grease cookie sheet, large size.
  3. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together in one bowl.
  4. Cream butter, slowly adding brown sugar and eggs.
  5. Mix with flour mixture until creamy.
  6. Add chocolate chips.
  7. Place in cookie sheet.
  8. Bake for 35 minutes until brown.
  9. Cool.
  10. Cut into 48 bars.
  11. Can freeze bars after cool.
  12. Also could add M&M's.
