Ingredients

  • 1-2 gallons crawdads
  • 2 onions sliced
  • seasoning salt to taste
  • hot sauce to taste

Instructions

  1. Wash crawdads and pinch off their tails.
  2. Discard everything but the tails.
  3. Pull the mud veins out of the tails.
  4. Put a large cooker of water on to boil.
  5. Add sliced onions, seasoning salt, and hot sauce to the boiling water.
  6. When water comes to a boil, add crawdad tails.
  7. Boil for about 10 minutes.
  8. Remove crawdad tails and tear the meat out of the shells to eat.
