Ingredients

  • 4 cups milk
  • 2 beaten egg yolks
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons instant coffee granules
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 egg whites

Instructions

  1. Stir the milk into the beaten egg yolks.
  2. Add the sugar, instant coffee granules, vanilla, and salt.
  3. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture coats a metal spoon.
  4. Chill the mixture thoroughly.
  5. Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
  6. Fold the beaten egg whites into the chilled coffee eggnog mixture before serving.
