Ingredients

  • smoked sausage
  • new potatoes
  • onions
  • carrots
  • corn-on-the-cob
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. In a large steam pot with 2 inches of water, break the corn cobs in half and stack them upright in the bottom of the pan.
  2. Quarter the new potatoes and layer them over the corn.
  3. Quarter the onions and layer them over the potatoes.
  4. Cut carrots into sticks or slices and layer over the onions.
  5. Slice smoked sausage into discs and layer over the carrots.
  6. Cover the pot with a lid and bring the water to a rolling boil.
  7. Let the ingredients steam for 20 minutes or until everything is soft.
  8. Serve as a complete dinner.
