Ingredients

  • oil
  • 1/4 cup chopped onions
  • 1 pound chicken cutlets
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 chicken bouillon cube
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 to 1 cup white wine
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 jar boiled onions, chopped
  • 1/2 cup cooked mushrooms

Instructions

  1. Saute chopped onions until opaque.
  2. Dredge chicken cutlets in flour and salt, then lightly brown the chicken.
  3. Add the chicken bouillon cube, thyme, water, and 1/2 cup of white wine.
  4. Cover and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.
  5. Mix cornstarch with cold milk and add to the chicken to thicken the sauce.
  6. Stir frequently until the sauce thickens.
  7. Add chopped boiled onions and cooked mushrooms, then heat through.
  8. Serve with rice.
