Ingredients

  • 1/4 lb salt pork
  • 2 1/2 lb lima beans
  • 3 peeled tomatoes
  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 4 ears corn

Instructions

  1. Slice salt pork almost through in several places and place in a large kettle.
  2. Add 2 quarts boiling water, lima beans, chopped tomatoes, chopped onion, salt, pepper, and sugar.
  3. Cook for 30 minutes.
  4. Add corn kernels and cook for an additional 3 minutes.
