Ingredients

  • 2 c. corn meal
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. buttermilk
  • 2 Tbsp. oil

Instructions

  1. Combine dry ingredients; stir to mix.
  2. Add buttermilk and oil. Mix well.
  3. Bake at 350° until brown, for 50 to 60 minutes in greased loaf pan.
  4. Yields 1 loaf.
