Cornbread and Beans Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 box (about 8.5 Oz. Box) Corn Muffin Mix
  • 13 cups Milk
  • 1 whole Egg
  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 1 package (1 Oz. Envelope) Taco Seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Mix the corn muffin mix, milk, and egg until a smooth consistency is formed and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, brown the meat and add the taco seasoning as instructed on the packet.
  4. In a medium skillet, warm the beans and corn, then add in the cooked and seasoned ground beef.
  5. Let this simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. Pour this mixture into a 9-inch pie pan and spread the corn muffin mixture on top.
  7. This will bake in the oven for 15 minutes or until the corn muffin mix is completely done.
