- Put self-rising white or yellow meal in a bowl with self-rising flour.
- Stir in egg.
- Pour in buttermilk and add salt.
- Then add 1 cup of water or until mix is smooth.
- Pour into a well-oiled bread pan.
- Bake the mix until it turns yellow.
- Then turn oven to broil. When crust is light brown or golden, bread is done.
