Ingredients

  • 4 squares bitter or semi-sweet chocolate
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 7 tablespoons melted butter or margarine
  • 7 cups cornflakes
  • vanilla ice cream

Instructions

  1. Combine melted chocolate, brown sugar, melted butter, and cornflakes in a large mixing bowl. Mix carefully until all flakes are coated.
  2. Line a 9 x 13-inch pan with the cornflake mixture.
  3. Let cool and become firm in the refrigerator.
  4. Remove from refrigerator and add vanilla ice cream on top of the firmed cornflake layer.
  5. Optional: sprinkle with chocolate chips before serving.
