Ingredients

  • 1 heaping Tbsp. cornmeal
  • 1 heaping tsp. tapioca
  • 1 qt. milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. molasses

Instructions

  1. Heat the milk and tapioca until it comes to a boil.
  2. Add the cornmeal, egg, sugar, and molasses to the boiling mixture.
  3. Cook until the mixture thickens to a cream-like consistency.
  4. Pour the mixture into a baking dish.
  5. Bake for 45 minutes in a 300°F (150°C) oven until set and custard-like.
