Ingredients

  • 9 large Granny Smith apples
  • 1 (28 oz.) can baked beans
  • 1 lb smoked kielbasa sausage
  • 1 cup onions
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Slice off the tops of 8 apples and scoop out the insides with a melon baller. Reserve the apple tops and discard the insides.
  2. Peel and dice the remaining apples.
  3. In a bowl, combine the baked beans, diced smoked kielbasa sausage, and diced onions.
  4. Stuff the hollowed apples with the bean and sausage mixture.
  5. Replace the apple tops on each filled apple.
  6. Place the stuffed apples in a baking dish and bake at 375°F (190°C) for about 30-40 minutes, or until apples are tender and filling is heated through.
