Crab Rangoons

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. imitation crab meat
  • 1 pkg. wonton wrappers
  • 16 oz. low-fat cream cheese
  • 4 cloves garlic, pressed or minced
  • vegetable oil for deep frying
  • bowl of warm water

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, chop the imitation crab meat.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the chopped crab, cream cheese, and minced garlic until well combined.
  3. Place a small dollop of the mixture into the center of each wonton wrapper.
  4. Fold one tip of the wonton to its opposite tip to form a triangle.
  5. Dab your finger in warm water and run around the edge of the wonton skin to seal the seams.
  6. Pinch together the two points of the triangle and fold down the top point to enclose the filling.
  7. Deep fry the wontons in vegetable oil until golden brown.
  8. Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
