Cream Cheese Horns are flaky, sweet pastries filled with preserves, perfect for breakfast or brunch gatherings, offering a delightful combination of cream cheese richness and fruity sweetness.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 2 cups flour
  • your favorite preserves
  • powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Cream together the cream cheese and softened margarine to form a dough.
  2. Divide the dough into two balls.
  3. Flatten each ball and refrigerate to chill the dough.
  4. Roll out each chilled dough ball into a large rectangular shape on a sugared-floured board.
  5. Cut the rectangles into squares.
  6. Dot each square with your favorite preserves.
  7. Pinch opposite corners of each square to close, forming horn shapes.
  8. Bake at 400° to 410°F for 8 to 10 minutes or until slightly brown.
  9. Remove from oven and cool for 5 minutes.
  10. Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
