Ingredients

  • 1 chicken, boiled and bones removed
  • 2 prepared pie crusts for two covered pies
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can cream of chicken or cream of celery soup
  • pepper to taste
  • 3 cups chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Boil the chicken, remove bones, and shred the meat.
  2. Mix the shredded chicken with the cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken or celery soup, and pepper.
  3. Add one more cup of chicken broth and an additional can of soup if a thicker gravy is desired.
  4. Preheat the oven and line two pie crusts with prepared pastry.
  5. Distribute the chicken mixture evenly between the two crusts.
  6. Cover with the second pie crusts and seal the edges.
  7. Bake in the oven until the crusts are golden brown and filling is heated through.
