Ingredients

  • 1 lb. white mushrooms
  • 1 can Carnation milk
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • pinch of garlic powder
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Wash and slice the mushrooms; set aside.
  2. Melt butter over low heat, then add mushrooms, sautéing until they are slightly browned.
  3. Add flour; stir as you add, then slowly pour in the canned milk.
  4. Stir until you reach the desired consistency.
  5. Add garlic powder, salt, and white pepper.
  6. Serve as a sauce over vegetables, pasta, chicken, or fish.
