Crescent Apple Quicks are delightful handheld pastries filled with spiced, sweet apples, perfect for a quick dessert or snack that appeals to all ages.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups peeled, finely chopped apples
  • 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • dash of nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Combine peeled, finely chopped apples with sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg; stir until apples are well coated.
  3. Separate the refrigerated crescent roll dough into 16 triangles.
  4. Spoon about 1 rounded tablespoon of apple mixture onto the center of each triangle.
  5. Fold the three points of dough over the filling, overlapping like an envelope.
  6. Place the filled crescents 1 inch apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  7. Bake at 350°F for 20 to 25 minutes or until deep golden brown.
  8. Remove from oven and transfer to a cooling rack.
  9. Add glaze before serving.
