Ingredients

  • 1 large cabbage head, sliced
  • 1 medium green pepper, chopped
  • 1 medium red bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups vinegar
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons celery seed

Instructions

  1. Combine the sliced cabbage, chopped green pepper, chopped red bell pepper, and chopped onions in a large bowl.
  2. In a small saucepan, combine sugar, vegetable oil, and vinegar, then heat until the sugar dissolves. Let the mixture cool.
  3. Pour the cooled dressing over the vegetable mixture and toss to combine.
  4. Chill the coleslaw in the refrigerator for at least two hours before serving.
