Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups finely chopped walnuts or pecans or thinly sliced brazil nuts
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons soft butter

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 450°F.
  2. Place ingredients in a bowl.
  3. Stir until nuts are thoroughly coated.
  4. Press mixture firmly and evenly against bottom and sides of a buttered 9-inch pie pan.
  5. Bake for 6-8 minutes.
  6. Cool. Fill with a chiffon type pie filling and chill.
  7. Or, chill the empty shell and serve filled with your favorite ice cream.
