Crunchy Squash
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 to 2 lb. yellow squash in 3/4-inch cubes ⓘ
- 1 medium onion, chopped ⓘ
- 2 Tbsp. butter ⓘ
- 1 Tbsp. sugar ⓘ
- 1/4 tsp. Accent
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- little black pepper ⓘ
- 1 pkg. chicken flavored stuffing mix or 1 1/2 to 2 c. seasoned cracker crumbs ⓘ
- 8 oz. sour cream ⓘ
- 1/2 stick butter
- 1 can cream of chicken soup ⓘ
- 1/2 small jar pimentos, drained
- 1 can sliced water chestnuts ⓘ
Instructions
- Melt butter in skillet; saute onion.
- Add squash and water. Cover and steam for 5 to 8 minutes.
- Add sugar, Accent, salt and pepper.
