Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups oats
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
  • 1/3 cup chopped dates
  • 1/3 cup melted corn oil margarine
  • 1/3 cup wheat germ or chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Combine oats, cinnamon (if using), chopped dates, melted margarine, and wheat germ or chopped nuts in a bowl and mix well.
  2. Brown the mixture in a heavy skillet over medium heat for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Spread the mixture out on a cookie sheet to cool completely.
  4. Store in a covered container in the refrigerator.
