Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 large can tomato sauce
  • black pepper
  • 1 can anchovies

Instructions

  1. Cook ground beef until all meat is lightly browned.
  2. Add tomato sauce and black pepper to the ground beef.
  3. Let cook for 10 minutes.
  4. In a frying pan, put a little olive oil and add anchovies.
  5. Mash anchovies with a fork as they soften, until they are all mashed.
  6. Add the anchovy mixture to the ground beef and tomato sauce.
  7. Let cook for 10 minutes, slowly, until the tomato sauce gets the taste of anchovies.
  8. Toast slices of French or narrow Italian bread.
  9. Spread the tomato and anchovy mixture on the toasted bread.
