Ingredients

  • 4 or 5 cucumbers
  • 2 onions
  • 1/2 green pepper
  • 5 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup white vinegar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 tsp. celery salt

Instructions

  1. Slice cucumbers and onions and cover with water; add salt.
  2. Let stand for 3 hours or more.
  3. Drain and rinse the vegetables.
  4. Mix vinegar, sugar, water, and celery salt in a bowl.
  5. Pour the mixture over the cucumbers and onions.
  6. Let stand overnight in the refrigerator.
  7. Can be frozen for storage.
