Ingredients

  • 4 c. flour
  • 1 c. butter
  • 1 Tbsp. milk
  • 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. cloves
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 c. dried currants

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients and beat on medium until well mixed. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  2. Roll dough as thin as possible. Sprinkle with sugar.
  3. Cut into 2-inch circles.
  4. Bake at 375° for 8 minutes.
