Dale's Rolls are soft, fluffy yeast rolls with a slightly sweet flavor, perfect for family dinners, picnics, or as a warm snack with butter and jam.

Instructions
- Dissolve yeast in warm water.
- Scald milk and cool to lukewarm.
- Add dissolved yeast, milk, sugar, salt, and shortening to 4 cups of flour; beat by hand until it makes a medium-soft dough.
- Add the remaining flour and work into the dough.
- Let the dough rise in a greased, oiled bowl covered with a wet cloth until doubled in size.
- Turn the dough onto a floured board and roll out.
- Cut with a cookie cutter, brush with oil, and let rise again.
- Bake in a greased pan at 350°F for 15 to 20 minutes.
