Ingredients

  • 2 sticks butter
  • 2 tablespoons cold water
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract

Instructions

  1. Mix 1 cup flour, 1 stick butter, and 2 tablespoons cold water to form the dough.
  2. Pat the dough into a 6 x 12-inch ungreased cookie sheet.
  3. Bring 1 cup water, 1 stick butter, and 1 cup flour to a boil.
  4. Stir well until mixture is smooth.
  5. Remove from heat.
  6. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  7. Stir in almond extract.
  8. Spread the filling over the prepared dough.
  9. Bake at 350°F for one hour.
