Date-Bacon Muffins

- Cream butter; gradually add sugar, beating well. Add egg; beat until blended.
- Combine flour, baking powder, and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Stir in dates and crumbled bacon.
- Spoon batter into greased muffin pans, filling two-thirds full. Bake at 400° for 20 minutes.
