Date Nut Cherry Cake

- Beat eggs and vanilla in bowl.
- In another bowl, mix sugar, flour, baking powder and salt.
- Add fruit and nuts into this mixture.
- Blend fruit mixture into egg mixture.
- Add this mixture to flour mixture.
- Grease a 5 x 9-inch loaf pan.
- Line pan with brown paper bag and grease it.
- Pour batter and spread evenly. Bake at 325°
- for 1 hour and 30 minutes or until done.
- If desired, sprinkle with shot of whisky over top of cool cake. Freezes well, wrap in foil to freeze.
- Don't put liquor on, if freezing.
