Date Nuts Bars

Instructions
- Cream butter and sugar.
- Add egg yolks, beaten separately. Add dates, nuts, flour, baking powder and salt.
- Mix well.
- Fold egg whites (stiffly beaten) in last.
- Spread thin into 9 x 1-inch pan.
- Bake in 350° oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
- Cut in strips while warm and roll in powdered sugar.
