Ingredients

  • 8 ounces dates (pitted)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup hot water
  • 2 cups plain flour
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Cook the first 3 ingredients to a pulp and leave to cool.
  2. Mix remaining ingredients together like a crumble.
  3. Spread half of the mixture on the bottom of a tray.
  4. Cover with the dates. Then sprinkle remainder on top.
  5. Bake 30 mins at gas 4 or 180c.
