Ingredients

  • 6 cups sugar
  • 6 1/2 cups mashed cooked pears, drained
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 small can crushed pineapple, drained

Instructions

  1. Cook the pears until tender, then mash and drain to remove excess liquid.
  2. Combine the mashed pears with sugar, lemon juice, and drained crushed pineapple in a large pot.
  3. Cook the mixture over medium heat until it thickens and jells, stirring constantly to prevent sticking.
  4. Pour the hot jam into sterilized jars and seal immediately.
