Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground chuck
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup Carnation milk
  • 1/2 cup instant oatmeal
  • 1 package onion soup mix
  • 1/2 cup meat loaf fixings or 1/2 cup catsup
  • garlic

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chuck, eggs, Carnation milk, instant oatmeal, onion soup mix, meat loaf fixings or catsup, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.
  4. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish.
  5. Bake uncovered at 350°F for approximately 50 minutes.
  6. About 10 minutes before baking is complete, add additional catsup or meat loaf fixings on top if desired.
  7. Remove from oven and let rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
