Ingredients

  • 42 + club crackers
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup slivered almonds

Instructions

  1. Line a 15 x 10 x 1 inch cookie sheet with foil.
  2. Arrange the club crackers on the prepared cookie sheet in a single layer.
  3. In a saucepan, melt butter and add sugar, then bring to a boil for 2 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
  5. Pour the hot butter mixture evenly over the crackers and spread gently to cover.
  6. Sprinkle the slivered almonds over the top.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes.
  8. Allow to cool completely, then break into pieces.
  9. Store in an airtight container.
