Devilishly delicious eggs feature creamy yolks combined with salsa and bacon, topped with herbs. Perfect for brunch or parties, offering a smoky, spicy, and savory flavor profile.

Ingredients

  • 6 hard-cooked eggs
  • 1/3 cup thick and chunky salsa
  • 2 slices bacon, crisply cooked and crumbled
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • Olive slices or small sprigs of parsley or cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Simmer equal parts of Pace picante sauce and honey in a saucepan until thickened.
  2. Add bite-sized cubes of cooked chicken or turkey breast, cooked shrimp, or 1/4-inch slices of smoked sausage to the sauce and heat through.
  3. Cut the hard-cooked eggs in half and remove yolks.
  4. Mix yolks with mayonnaise and chopped bacon slices.
  5. Fill egg whites with the yolk mixture.
  6. Garnish with olive slices or small sprigs of parsley or cilantro.
  7. Serve in a chafing dish or shallow dish with wooden picks.
