A vibrant, sweet and creamy salad combining fruity Jell-O, spicy red hots, and smooth cheese layers, perfect for parties, potlucks, or fun family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 pkg lemon Jell-O
  • 1/2 cup red hots
  • 2 cups hot water
  • 2 cups applesauce
  • 2 (3 oz) pkg cream cheese
  • 4 Tbsp thick cream
  • 2 Tbsp mayonnaise

Instructions

  1. Dissolve red hots in hot water.
  2. Add lemon Jell-O to the hot mixture while still hot.
  3. Cool the mixture and then add applesauce.
  4. Pour half of the mixture into a pan and set until solid.
  5. Mix cream cheese, thick cream, and mayonnaise and spread over the solidified layer.
  6. Add the remaining Jell-O mixture on top and chill until set.
