Ingredients

  • 1 medium cucumber
  • 1 Tbsp chopped fresh dill or 1 tsp dried dill weed
  • 1 Tbsp vinegar
  • 1 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Cut the cucumber lengthwise in half.
  2. Remove seeds and slice the cucumber thinly.
  3. Mix the cucumber slices with dill, vinegar, sugar, and salt in a 1 1/2-quart saucepan.
  4. Cook over high heat for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring frequently, until the cucumber is crisp-tender.
