Ingredients

  • 2 cups soft bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 slightly beaten egg
  • 1 tablespoon chopped onion
  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (16 oz.) can salmon
  • packaged instant mashed potatoes
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Combine bread crumbs, milk, the beaten egg, chopped onion, melted butter, and salt until the crumbs are moistened.
  2. Add the drained and flaked salmon and mix thoroughly.
  3. Turn the mixture into a greased 8-inch pie plate.
  4. Prepare instant mashed potatoes according to package directions, omitting the milk, and beat in the remaining egg.
  5. Spoon the mashed potatoes around the edge of the pie.
  6. Bake in a 350°F oven for 30 to 35 minutes.
  7. Serve wedges with warm Dill Sauce.
