Ingredients

  • 3 to 4 fresh unpeeled pears
  • 1 (9-inch) pie shell
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 eggs

Instructions

  1. Core and cut pears lengthwise.
  2. Place cut side down in the pie shell.
  3. Beat sugar, eggs, melted butter, and flour together until smooth.
  4. Pour the mixture over the pears in the pie shell.
  5. Bake at 325°F (160°C) for 40 to 45 minutes until set and golden.
  6. Serve warm or cold.
