- Combine sugar, salt, lukewarm water, eggs, and dry yeast in a large mixing bowl.
- Mix on low speed for 2 minutes and set aside.
- In a separate bowl, combine flour, sugar, Crisco, and water.
- Mix the flour mixture with the yeast mixture.
- Mix for 3 minutes with a heavy-duty mixer at medium speed.
- Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place until double in size.
- Punch the dough down.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- With floured hands, form the dough into round balls.
- Place the balls into muffin tins.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place until doubled in size.
- Bake at 350°F until golden brown, about 15 minutes.
