Decadent double layer fudge with rich chocolate and caramel flavors, perfect for sharing at parties or satisfying sweet cravings with a creamy, nutty texture.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 cup marshmallow cream
  • 3/4 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate pieces
  • 1/2 cup caramel or butterscotch morsels
  • 1 cup nuts

Instructions

  1. In a heavy 2-quart saucepan, mix sugar, butter, marshmallow cream, and evaporated milk. Cook and stir until a full rolling boil.
  2. Stir over medium heat for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and pour half of the mixture into a heatproof bowl.
  3. To one half, add the chocolate chips; to the other half, add the caramel or butterscotch morsels. Add nuts to both halves.
  4. Beat the chocolate half until chips are melted and thickened. Spread in a well buttered dish.
  5. Beat the caramel half and spread over the first layer. Cool and cut into squares.
