Instructions
- Stir together cornstarch and 1/2 cup cold water in a bowl.
- In a saucepan, mix 2 cups salt and 2/3 cup water over low heat until very warm.
- Pour the cornstarch mixture into the salt and water mixture and stir.
- Cook until the mixture becomes quite warm and reaches the consistency of stiff dough.
- Remove from the pan, cool, and knead like bread dough.
- Knead food coloring into the dough until evenly colored.
- Store in a plastic bag at room temperature.
