Ingredients

  • 1 cup mashed potatoes
  • 1 yeast cake
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1 cup Spry
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups warm water

Instructions

  1. Combine mashed potatoes, yeast cake, eggs, warm water, Spry, and sugar in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Add flour gradually and knead until a smooth dough forms.
  3. Cover the dough and let it stand until it doubles in size, about 1 hour.
  4. Knead the dough again and let it set for another 1 1/2 hours.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Bake the bread in the preheated oven until golden brown, about 30 minutes.
