Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 stick butter
  • 1 (16 oz.) can fruit of your choice in heavy syrup

Instructions

  1. Mix milk, sugar, and self-rising flour in a bowl until smooth.
  2. Melt butter in a deep pan.
  3. Pour the batter into the pan with melted butter.
  4. Add the fruit in heavy syrup on top of the batter.
  5. Bake at 350° to 400° for 30 to 45 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Let cool down, then tear it up and serve with ice cream.
