- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Grease a 10 x 1 1/2-inch glass pie plate.
- Cook ground beef with diced onion until browned; drain excess fat.
- Add taco seasoning mix to the beef and mix well.
- In a bowl, combine refried beans, Bisquick baking mix, and water until smooth.
- Spread the bean mixture in the bottom and halfway up the side of the prepared pie plate.
- Layer cooked beef over the bean mixture.
- Top with sliced green chillies (if using), salsa, and shredded Cheddar cheese.
- Bake for 30 minutes until hot and bubbly.
- Serve each portion topped with chopped lettuce, chopped tomatoes, and a dollop of sour cream.
