Ingredients

  • 20 oz crushed pineapple
  • 12 oz can cherry pie filling
  • 1 package yellow cake mix
  • 1 1/2 sticks oleo
  • 1 cup chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly oil a 13 x 9-inch pan.
  2. Spread the crushed pineapple evenly in the prepared pan.
  3. Pour the cherry pie filling over the pineapple layer.
  4. Sprinkle the yellow cake mix evenly over the fruit layers.
  5. Slice the oleo (butter or margarine) and place the slices on top of the cake mix.
  6. Sprinkle chopped nuts over the top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
