Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 3/4 cup candied cherries
  • 3 cups packaged biscuit mix

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Grease a 10 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, stir together sugar, egg, milk, chopped nuts, and candied cherries.
  4. Add packaged biscuit mix; beat briskly for 30 seconds.
  5. Turn the batter into the prepared pan.
  6. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes or until done, with a slight crack in the top.
  7. Cool slightly before slicing.
