Easy Chicken & Rice

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves (1 to 1 1/2lbs)
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 package (6.9oz) Rice-A-Roni, chicken flavor
  • 2 Tbs margarine or buttler
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 1 cup frozen or canned peas
  • 1/2 cup chopped red or green bell pepper

Instructions

  1. Sprinkle chicken with paprika; set aside
  2. saute rice and vermicelli mix in margarine until vermicelli is golden brown
  3. add water, chicken, and Special Seasonings
  4. bring to a boil
  5. cover, reduce heat to med-low
  6. simmer 15 min
  7. stir in peas and bell pepper
  8. cover, simmer 5 min more or until liquid is absorbed and chicken is no longer pink inside
  9. let stand 5 min
