Easy Chocolate Chip Torte

- In the bottom of a 9 x 3-inch spring-form pan, place 10 to 12 cookies in one layer.
- Crumble 3 to 5 cookies to fill in the spaces, using a total of 15 cookies.
- In a mixing bowl, whip 2 cups of whipping cream with 2 tablespoons of sugar and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
- Spread a layer of whipped cream over the cookies in the pan.
- Arrange thinly sliced nectarines or peaches over the whipped cream layer.
- Repeat layers with remaining cookies, whipped cream, and fruit as desired.
- Drizzle the melted red currant jelly over the top layer of fruit.
- Chill the torte for at least 2 hours before serving to set.
