Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 sticks softened butter
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cold water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup finely chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 275°F (135°C).
  2. Beat softened butter and powdered sugar until light and creamy.
  3. Mix in cold water and vanilla extract.
  4. Add flour gradually, beating well after each addition.
  5. Stir in salt.
  6. Fold in finely chopped pecans.
  7. Form 1-inch balls using your hands.
  8. Bake on a greased cookie sheet for about 40 minutes.
  9. Remove from oven and let cool slightly.
  10. Roll in powdered sugar to coat.
